Michael Brakefield
Director of Quality Assurance


Michael Brakefield joined QuantumClean in July of 2006, bringing with him 20 years of semiconductor experience. Mr. Brakefield started his career with Motorola in 1986 as a process engineer and then moved into the supply management group as the chemical and gas group leader. While there, he helped write Motorola's supplier audit book Quality System Review (QSR) and was responsible for auditing all the chemical and gas suppliers for the semiconductor group.

In 1993, Mr. Brakefield became the quality manager at Cryco Quartz where he established their quality management system and obtained ISO certification in only nine months. After Cryco was acquired by TOSOH Quartz, he was promoted to director of quality and was responsible for establishing best practices on a global basis.

Mr. Brakefield then joined Tokyo Electron America in 2000 as the quality manager and was responsible for establishing the company's quality management system. He worked with all business units to help establish best known methods and was directly responsible for the inspection of TPS and Etch consumables. Mr. Brakefield earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Southwest Texas State University (1986).
